Well hello!

For much of my life, I never considered myself an artist. I was creative and “crafty,” but too shy to take art classes or call what I made art. My creative journey began through photography, where I spent thirteen years running a studio known for its colorful, story-driven newborn portraits. Each session was like building a little world from imagination, a love of composition and color that now carries over into my paintings.

Painting started as a personal outlet and has grown into something deeper. It is both a creative release and a daily discipline that challenges me to find beauty when the world feels heavy. I paint early mornings before work, often in the dark, chasing light through color.

My signature pink underpaintings and visible brushstrokes are small, personal reminders that joy does not come from perfection but from persistence. Like many artists, I have faced seasons of doubt and discouragement, but I have learned that creating is how I stay grounded.

I paint to find joy, to share it, and to offer something simple and good to others. When someone brings my work into their home, I hope it makes them smile without overthinking, just a moment of happiness and connection. I may not know exactly where this path will lead, but I do know this: I am not stopping.

My art is my way forward, a daily act of choosing color, curiosity, and joy!
